Nokia recently concluded the largest-ever mobility consumer insight study, consisting of nearly 10 billion data points, and we eagerly shared the results with over 2400 delegates. We organized the Nokia World 2006 seminar streams to cover the key consumer drivers in mobility today, as well as technologies that enable us in the mobility industry to respond to those key needs.

In addition to the keynote speakers and Expo on Thursday, conference participants were able to choose from seminars based around four dedicated streams.

How to capitalize on the surging global demand for rich multimedia services and devices

New, integrated mobile multimedia tools enable people to be more involved with technology and to share the excitement of their discoveries. These are people to whom the virtual world is just as real as the “real” world. For those people who strive for that spontaneous sharing and the thrill of the new, we have a dedicated stream to explore the future of social media.

This stream is aimed at those in marketing and business development who want to learn more about the fast-growing multimedia world in which user experience, product design, and branding are coming together in exciting new ways to tap into the growing desire for mobile music, Internet content, TV, games, and photography services. This is your place to explore the immense possibilities of multimedia!

How to empower businesses to achieve more through use of a variety of collaborative solutions designed to easily connect people to people and people to information

In the business domain of the mobility industry, collaboration and immediate access to people and information is essential. Within the Achieving Together seminar stream we will discover how to achieve this collaborative momentum through smart, effective business solutions.

This stream is aimed at those who are interested in reaching business goals through the power of collaboration. This is your place to achieve more success in your business!

How to make most of the technology and platforms being deployed in current generation devices

Extended wireless and IP connectivity are making mobile devices true personal information hubs. Consumers and businesses are clearly starting to embrace the new capabilities and the benefits are being enjoyed by tens of millions of mobile users every day. These benefits are continually evolving: many developers and service providers are now moving from navigation to location-data supported applications and services, and great innovations are being made in personal area networks. Mobile device performance is at the level we saw a few years ago in desktops, making the balance between performance and power consumption ever more critical.

This stream is aimed at those interested in device platforms and the value they can bring to different stakeholders like developers, operators, and licensees, and how to make the most of the technology deployed in current generation devices.

How to create appealing and valued applications and bring them to market in new ways

Services are the future of mobility - rich new end-user experiences, new revenue flows for operators, and exciting business for developers. In the Developing Delight seminar stream you can learn how to bring valuable and relevant applications and services into today’s converging world. This is your place to develop and deploy new levels of customer and subscriber satisfaction!

This stream is aimed at those in the Nokia developer community who want to learn more about how to create appealing and valued applications, how to bring them to market through new business-generating channels, and how to make the services easily accessible to everybody.
