Built with safety in mind

As we become ever more dependant on wireless communications it is appropriate that industry players take their responsibility to ensure that appropriate regulation is widely adopted. At Nokia we support the adoption of science-based regulation and the adoption of emission guidance by the International Commission on Non Ionizing Radiation. Furthermore, we actively support such guidance in areas where guidance or regulation has yet to be introduced.

In this way we seek to ensure that...

• products comply with international emissions regulations
• base station site acquisition addresses both emissions and environmental impact issues
• local community concerns are taken into consideration in network planning

We see stakeholder questions about radio wave emission issues as important and are committed to providing responsible leadership. We support the continuing development of informed opinion and encourage people to explore all the information available.
