Are older phone models toxic/harmful for consumers?
All phones have passed extensive testing before entering the market. The term "hazardous" applies to the environmental classification of the substance. They are not harmful for consumers or environment if used in the appropriate way.

What are the biggest energy consumers in Nokia products’ lifecycles?
For phones and other devices, the key areas are raw material extraction in the production phase and charging in the use phase. As regards networks, energy consumption of the base stations in the use phase is the major energy consumer.

Where can I return my used mobile phone and accessories?
You can take your old unused phone to the nearest Nokia takeback point. Some municipalities, retailers and industry schemes also take back used electronic products.


What is the agreement between Nokia and WWF about? What do you hope to achieve together?
Nokia's current environmental focus areas are energy issues, substance management and take back and recycling. WWF will support Nokia in this work over the coming three years, with environmental awareness building of Nokia employees remaining a key role.
