Mr. Antti Vasara is Senior Vice President & General Manager, Mobile Devices Business Unit in the Enterprise Solutions business group of Nokia Corporation. His previous positions at Nokia include heading corporate strategy and heading software sales & marketing and developer activities at Technology Platforms. He serves on the Supervisory Board of Symbian Plc. Previously he has been a board member of F-Secure Corporation (HEX:FSC) and 724 Solutions (NASDAQ:SVNX; TSE:SVN).
Mr. Vasara, a native of Finland, has been working in the international business and high technology areas for more than ten years. Prior to joining Nokia, he was the CEO of SmartTrust Ltd, a leading provider of service management software to mobile operators. Before joining SmartTrust in 2000, Mr. Vasara worked as Senior Project Manager at McKinsey & Company in Finland consulting mainly in the fields of telecommunications, electronics, and pharmaceutical & biotechnology with projects in the Nordic countries, Central Europe, UK, USA and Asia-Pacific. Earlier in his career, Mr. Vasara was a researcher in the field of optical communications at the Helsinki University of Technology in Finland and holds one international patent.
Mr. Vasara holds a Doctor of Technology (Technical Physics) degree from Helsinki University of Technology in Finland.
