Simon Beresford-Wylie is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Networks, Nokia Corporation and CEO designate of Nokia Siemens Networks. Simon has been with Nokia since 1998. Since this time, he has held several positions in Asia and Europe. Prior to joining Nokia, Simon spent almost ten years with Australia’s Telstra Corporation, including a three-year stint from 1995 to 1998 as CEO of the Company’s Indian GSM joint venture (Modi-Telstra).
Simon was born in 1958 in the United Kingdom. He holds degrees in economic geography and history from the Australian National University and is a graduate of the Executive Development Program of Stanford University / National University of Singapore. Based in Helsinki, Simon is married with two children. His hobbies are philately, arts and antiques.
