Clive Sawkins is the Operations Director, IP Communications (IPC) for Cisco Systems in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Sawkins is responsible for developing and driving Cisco's IP Communications market strategy in EMEA. In EMEA, the IP telephony market is expected to grow by 60% per annum for the next 3 years with IP lines expected to exceed traditional PBX lines in 2007 in Western Europe. Cisco is the market leader in IP phones shipped, with 44% market share for EMEA in Q3 2004 according to MZA.
Prior to joining Cisco, Sawkins held the position of Vice President and General Manager, UK & Ireland at Avaya, a role that included responsibility for global alliances with Siebel Systems, Dimension Data and IBM.
With more than 21 years of IT industry experience, Sawkins has held a number of senior management positions at leading organizations such as Aspect, Rockwell and Nortel Networks.
He is a frequent speaker at industry events and is a regular commentator in print and broadcast business media on topical IT, telecoms networking and Internet issues affecting organizations and governments.
