The most common type of on-site assessment that we carry out is a systematic review of the supplier’s complete processes and management system to ensure compliance with the Nokia Supplier Requirements. System assessments are carried out according to our planned assessment program; usually in cases where we have a new supplier, or on an as-needed basis with current suppliers.
System assessments are carried out by trained Nokia assessors. The lead assessor is responsible for planning, coordinating, preparing, and executing the assessment. The team consists of at least two people and typically lasts two days.
The results of the assessments are communicated to the supplier during the closing meeting and agreed by both parties. All assessments are documented in Nokia's internal supplier database in order to avoid overlapping assessments.
We follow the supplier's corrective actions and provide support if needed. The assessment is closed when we have received confirmation that all non-conformances have been addressed.
