Implementations

Thank you for your interest in Nokia Openness and Nokia's product implementations based on open technology standards.
The "Implementations" section of this website that covers the "Server Software", "Mobile Devices" and "S60 Software" sub-sections has not been updated since January 2008. The "Implementations" section will not be refreshed with upcoming product implementations.

Please enter the Forum Nokia website for applications, content, services and technology standard specific topics using the link on the right. You can find information on the OMA standards and product implementations through the "Device Specifications" link. This change has been made to help you to find the content you want centrally in the same place.

Progressive Product Portfolio Based On Open Standards

Implementing open standards and offering concrete open standard-based products and solutions is essential in ensuring that the benefits of interoperability reach consumers. Truly interoperable services can be offered only if masses of products from multiple vendors supporting the same, open industry standards exist.

Nokia innovates technology to allow people to access Internet applications, devices and services instantly, irrespective of time and place. Achieving interoperability of network environments, terminals and mobile services is a key part of our intent.

One advantage of being actively involved in standardization work from the beginning is early access to the specifications. Time to implement and time to mass market can be quick.

In these pages you can find examples of products and solutions that deploy open specifications.
