Asta Kärkkäinen got her Ph.D. on the area of Quantum Optics from the University of Helsinki, Department of Theoretical Physics. She joined NRC in 1997. She has developed simulation methods with Universities and coordinated the research on Multidisciplinary design to enable optimal structural, thermal, acoustical and chemical performance of future Nokia devices. Currently, as research leader of Nanosystems team her interest is to develop enablers for physical touch digital match using nanotechnology.
