Petteri Alinikula joined Nokia Research Center in 1993 to establish RF and analog-mixed-signal research. The research team contributed to many custom-made chips in Nokia products. Since then Petteri have held several management positions in Nokia Research Center. As the Head of Strategic Research, Wireless Access he worked closely with parties within Nokia to build a solid strategic research that directly impacted company’s products and technologies.

Since January 2007 Petteri has been responsible for the Core Technology Centers of Nokia Research Center, that focus on breakthrough technology research in interaction technologies, Internet, radio communications, and computation structures.

Petteri earned his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, USA in 1992 and Engineering Diploma in Radio Engineering from the Helsinki University of Technology in 1988. Petteri have continued to actively interact with Helsinki University of Technology, where he is a Docent.
