Dr. Bob Iannucci is Senior Vice President and Head of Nokia Research Center, Nokias corporate research unit. Bob has been appointed CTO effective 1 January.

Bob joined Nokia in 2004 as Head of Nokia Research Center's Computing Architectures Laboratory. In January, 2005 Bob was appointed Head of Nokia Research Center and took on the bold challenge for NRC to lead the company and make renewal happen. As Nokia began its shift towards embracing Internet opportunities, Bob also shifted NRCs mindset and way of working towards open innovation, sourcing more and better ideas, and reaching into the future with industry-leading innovative breakthroughs.

Bob holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA, and is the author and co-author of two books and several academic papers. He has five patents.
