Your Phone
The SIM card is the brain of your phone and the battery is its heart.
The phone also has a memory of its own. For example, you can save contacts in the phone's own memory (also called the internal phone book) or in the SIM memory - or both.

If you use the phone's own memory, you can save up to 50 names.
If you use the SIM's memory, the data, i.e. the contacts, will stay in the SIM card - which may be useful when you change your phone or maybe use two phones. Using the SIM memory allows you to save 250 names and phone numbers.

Note that before removing the battery and installing the SIM card, you should always make sure that the phone is:
  • switched off
  • disconnected from the charger or any other device
How to handle the SIM card? How to handle the battery?
The SIM card and its contacts can be damaged easily by scratches or bending, so be careful when handling, inserting or removing the card. Read more in Battery Information.
