Nokia 3220 Interactive Tutorial

Browsing the net:
Shortcut key for browsing

Pressing the key opens the home site of your default service provider (after this service has been activated.)

Bookmarks
Your phone may have some pre-installed bookmarks for sites not affiliated with Nokia. Nokia does not warrant or endorse these sites. If you choose to access them, you should take the same precautions, for security or content, as you would with any Internet site.

The cache memory
Information or services you have accessed at an earlier time are stored in your phone’s cache. This is a buffer memory which is used to store data temporarily. To empty the cache:

  • while browsing, press Options and select Other options and Clear the cache, or
  • in standby mode, press Menu, select Services, and then Clear the cache.

If you have attempted to access or have accessed confidential information that requires the use of passwords (your bank account for example), always empty the cache of your phone when you have finished.

Browser security
Security features may be required for some services such as banking services or shopping from an online site. For this type of connection you need security certificates and possibly a security module which may be available on your SIM card. For more information, contact your service provider.

Gallery memory
If your phone displays a message that the memory is full, delete some of the files in Gallery before continuing. To save space, you can choose to compress images while saving them.

Camera
Obey all local laws governing the taking of pictures. Do not use this feature illegally.

Voice recorder
You can record speech, sounds, or an active call for a period of three minutes. This is useful, for example, to record a name and phone number so that you can write them down later.
