The e-mail application allows you to access your e-mail account via the phone, when you are not in the office or at home. The compatible e-mail system that you use in the office or at home may be supported by the e-mail function on your phone. You can write, send, and read e-mails with your phone. You can also save and delete the e-mails on a compatible PC.
Before you can send and retrieve any e-mails, you may need to:
- Obtain a new e-mail account or use the current one. To check the availability of your e-mail account, contact your e-mail service provider.
- Set the required e-mail settings on your phone. See Settings for e-mail.
Send an e-mail
To create a new e-mail message, press Menu and select Messages, E-mail, and Create e-mail. You can write your e-mail message before connecting to the e-mail service, or vice-versa.
The basic steps for sending an e-mail message:
- Create the e-mail message
- Enter the recipient
- Write the text
- Send

To read e-mail messages on your phone, you first have to download them.

- Connect to the e-mail service
- Download the e-mail messages to the inbox

Delete e-mail messages
To delete e-mail messages, press Menu and select Messages, E-mail, Other options and Delete messages.

When sending e-mail, your phone may display the words Message sent. This is an indication that the e-mail has been sent by your phone to the e-mail server. This is not an indication that the e-mail has been received at the intended destination.

You can also send e-mail via SMS. Press Menu and select Messages, Text messages and Create SMS e-mail.
