You can enhance your messaging by attaching several types of media in a multimedia message. Find out more about multimedia messages.
Get settings over the air
You can order also settings for multimedia messages as an over the air message from the network operator or service provider, or from the Nokia web site. See Over the Air Settings.
If the settings you received are not working properly, go through the settings manually.
Key in the connection settings manually
Press Menu and select Messages, Message settings, Multimedia msgs. and Connection settings.
- First select Active multimedia settings and activate the set in which you want to save the connection settings.
- Then select Edit active multimedia settings and edit the active settings. Contact your network operator or service provider for the settings.
Additional settings
Press Menu and select Messages, Message settings and Multimedia msgs..
Select
- Save sent messages to set the phone to save sent multimedia messages in the Sent items folder.
- Delivery reports to ask the network to send delivery reports about your messages (network service).
- Scale image down to scale image size down when inserted to a message.
- Default slide timing to select the default value for timed slides.
- Allow multimedia reception. Select
- Yes to receive multimedia messages.
- In home network to receive multimedia messages only in your home network. The default setting is In home network.
- Incoming multimedia messages. Select
- Retrieve to set the phone to automatically fetch newly received multimedia messages, or select
- Reject if you do not wish to receive multimedia messages. This setting is not shown if the Allow multimedia reception is set to No.
- Allow adverts. You can receive or reject advertisements. This setting is not shown if the Allow multimedia reception is set to No.
