With the presence service
you can share your presence status with other users.
Presence status includes your availability, status
message, and personal logo.
Other users who have presence service, can request
your status information and view your availability
in Subscribed names in the Contacts menu. You can
personalize the information that you want to share
with others and control who can see your status.
To change presence settings, complete the following
steps.
Press Menu.
Select Contacts.
Select My
Presence.
Select
Settings.
Select
Show current presence in idle and select
On or Off.
Select Synchronise
with profiles. Then select On
or Off to
specify whether you want to update My presence message
and My availability manually or automatically by
linking them to the currently active profile.
Select Connection
type and select Manual
or Automatic
to select how the phone connects to the presence
service when it is switched on.
NOTE
Before you can use presence,
you need to subscribe to the service. To check the
availability and costs, and to subscribe to the
service, contact your network operator or service
provider, from whom you also receive your unique
ID, password, and the settings for the service.
