Nokia PC Sync allows you to synchronize your phone's contacts,
calendar items and to-do notes with a compatible PC's personal information
manager, such as Microsoft Outlook.
Nokia PC Sync enables you to keep the information up-to-date on
both your phone and PC. The software has a wide selection of synchronization
options for your personal needs.
How to Configure Synchronization Setting
- After installing the Nokia PC Suite, open the Nokia PC Sync
application.
- Select your Personal Information Manager application from the
drop-down list, then click Next.
- On the What To Synchronize screen select the items you
want to synchronize (Calendar Items, To-do Items,
Contact Items and Notes Items). Click Next
when you are ready.
- If the location of the data to be synchronized varies from their
default locations, select the correct locations. Click Next
to continue.
- Now specify the time range for the synchronization of the calendar
and to-do notes. Click Next to continue.
- Select the detail level of the contact information to be synchronized.
For example, you may want to synchronize only the names and the
mobile numbers, but no other information. Click Next to
continue.
- The basic synchronizing configuration is now completed. To set
advanced automatic synchronization options (such as Conflict
Resolution), click the Advanced button. Otherwise,
click Finish.
After the configuration is made, and you want to use PC Sync, launch
the program from the Start menu under Programs > PC
Sync. No additional dialog boxes appear when the application
launches.
