The Nokia 6800 messaging device includes plenty of new features.
Here's a glimpse of what's hot:
Integrated Keyboard: The QWERTY-style integrated keyboard
makes thumb-typing intuitive and fast. It simply means less
hassle when writing messages!
Messaging applications: In addition to traditional
SMS communications, the Nokia 6800 handles MMS messages (for
when you're feeling creative) and even e-mail, to really keep
you connected. And if you've got something to say to a lot
of people, create an SMS distribution list to save yourself
the trouble of sending messages multiple times. The Nokia
6800 can store up to 15 lists, each with 50 contacts.
Notes: Use the notes feature for longer messages -
up to 3000 characters. Keep a journal or type minutes, and
send them later via MMS.
Integrated Handsfree (IHF): This feature allows you
to use the Nokia 6800 as a speaker, for example during conference
calls and when listening to the radio. The integrated handsfree
speaker is automatically activated when the flip is opened.
Java Technology: Java allows you to download
and install new applications and games into your phone. Examples
of downloadable Java applications include games, sports
training calendars, bilingual phrase books, and map applications.
Java technology makes the phone more exciting to use,
and lets you personalize your phone by selecting the applications
you want.
SyncML technology: SyncML is a cross-platform protocol
used by the Nokia 6800 and other devices to allow remote synchronization.
You can connect remotely to an online network, which means
you can keep your phone's calendar up to date with your office
calendar - even when you're nowhere near a computer.
