
A multimedia message can contain text, sound and a picture or a video clip. The phone supports multimedia messages that are up to 100 kB in size. If the maximum size is exceeded, the phone may not be able to receive the message.
It takes more time to send a multimedia message than to send a text message. While the multimedia message is being sent, the animated indicator is displayed and you can use the other functions on the phone.

Before you can start sending MMS messages, you may need to do the following:
- Find out about the availability of MMS services from your operator or service provider. You may have to subscribe to these services separately.
- For receiving the MMS settings over the air, see Over the air settings.
- Activate the settings.
- If you want to send MMS messages to an e-mail address, it is convenient to save this address as a detail in your Contacts.

Multimedia messages can be sent only if this function is supported by your network operator or service provider. Only phones that offer compatible multimedia message features can receive and display multimedia messages.
