What information do we collect?
Registration and contact details
When you register to the Service, your contact details such as email address along with your user name and password and, in certain versions, your mobile phone number are collected.
When you use the Service, certain technical information such as the type and serial number of your mobile device, internet protocol address, your mobile network and country codes, time zone, technical details of your client as well as your transactions with Nokia will be automatically collected by Nokia. We also record your transactions with us, for example your registration to the Service.
How we use the information we have collected?
We use your information to provide you with the Service, to develop our products and services, as well as to communicate with you. We may also use your information for marketing and to make recommendations.
Your email address and user credentials are needed to enable the service to retrieve your messages from your selected service provider’s servers and to authenticate your user account. Your password is not used for any other purpose. Some services inform you about new messages via text message.
Technical information, e.g. your mobile device type, country and mobile subscription is used to determine which services are available for you. We may also use your information to manage the license.
Your messages will be transmitted through Nokia’s servers to your email or instant messaging service provider’s servers and back to you. Nokia will not process your messages and related traffic data for any purpose other than what is necessary to deliver and manage your messages, billing, to prevent fraud, to maintain the information security of the Service or to manage our servers and the Service.
