Nokia Lumia 800 3.7 5 29 29
Great for those who want that "Wow" phone I love it! I have an N9 and recently was blessed to trial a Lumia 800 for a few weeks. To me, although it shares the same body as the N9, they are completely different, so don't let their appearance fool you. It is unbelievably simple to use. The Metro UI is a breeze, and the live tiles make homescreen widgets look outdated. Being based on the Windows Phone Mango platform, there is a large number of apps ready to be downloaded. Since the handset is a Nokia one, you know the build quality will be outstanding. The unibody polycarbonate design fits and feels so nice in the palm of your hand. With such bold colours like Cyan and Magenta, you won't won't to put a case on it. Nor will you need to, as you can't see scratches since it has been coloured all the way through. The social network integration throughout the whole device is something way beyond any of the other platforms out there. It really helps you stay connected with friends, family and colleagues. The curved glass makes swiping easy as you navigate the device using the Panoramic style interface of apps. This phone is a must for anyone who wants a smart smartphone, and wants to stand out from a conformist society. 18 January 2012
Hottest Phone On The Planet Best Windows Phone Ever and looks so sexy in blue. 27 January 2012
Stunning phone, great software I purchased this phone recently after reading many reviews, before making my purchase. I have now owned this phone for over a month and made this switch from an iPhone. I am absolutely amazed at how smooth and slick this phone is, it just works! The battery life could be a little better but it's not a major issue for me. After a friend of mine saw mine he also decided to get the same one, well done Nokia, this is by far the best phone from you in some years. 30 January 2012
Nokia clawing back into the market with wolverine hands Nokia have ended their 5 year drought of disappointment, today I received my Lumia 800 and I can say that I am a Nokia fan yet again. This phone is fast, easy to use, the display is brilliant - the colors are vibrant and unlike any smart phone on the market, the camera is possibly the best smart phone camera available on the market delivering settings and quality close to a digital SLR if you know what you are doing with those settings, the battery life namely the idle time is superb, the phone is sexy. 100% excellence, the only two issues reside beyond 100% in the 102% margin where these two issues bare only 1% of my vote and if they did not exist the phone would have received a 102% recommendation. Dont like the USB flap and seems to get hot when charging. 29 March 2012
another frustration from Nokia Nokia are becoming more like Apple every new phone release... THE BAD SETUP... is Confusing & Frustrating to do ... BATTERY... useless turn everything off & get 1 Day Max use EMAIL for WLive ID in setup... thats it... if you change IP you cant change your Live ID Addy in your phone... EVERYTHING ID wise in your phone is auto synched to WLive whether you like or not.... DATA USE... if you dont turn it off you will use all your data allowance in NO TIME FLAT... and flatten your battery in the same period of time NTF... WiFI setup... had no end of trouble getting it setup... Finally did and it drains Loads of Battery too... ANYTHING... you do on this phone requires that you are plugged into mains power... Med to High phone/text will have you looking for a power point at least twice a day... BLUETOOTH... wont connect to other Phones even Nokia Phones (havent tried other Win Phones yet) cant bluetooth anything from my old nokia phones (any of them) ala iPhone family trait RINGTONES cant get then on the Phone unless converted to Nokias own format by rec & save on the Lumia SPEAKER/MIC... is tinny sounding at best ZUNE... A nightmare to use and 10 times more restrictive than iTunes albeit a tad better than OVI There is more but....... THE GOOD SCREEN... Excellent Big Bright PROCESSOR... Excellent, Fast STORAGE... 16gig is good would have liked 32gig tho 10 June 2012

Very handy Phone This is my second review because I have found a "fix"to the only problem I had previously. I have found an app. that gives access to the ANZ Bank site for phone banking. It is OzBankLinks. I think the Nokia Lumia 800 is an excellant phone. 5 April 2012
fantastic OS, wicked looks but lacking some key NOKIA aspects. Very sleek and sexy, I love the operating system and the hardware, the software on the other hand needs a few key upgrades which apparently are comming. e.g the battery issues. One thing that bugs me more than anything about the Lumia is a relatively minor flaw, a NOKIA staple since day one. Being able to turn the phone off with a pending alarm turning the phone back on in the morning waking me up, also on that note not being able to charge the phone when it's off, seriously it switches back on by its self weird. Seriously fix those three issues and I will buy every one off your Nokia Windws phones for eternity.............!!!!!! 1 April 2012
