Nokia Link doesn't support contacts and calendar sync, but Nokia N9 offers you many other ways to do such syncing. N9 has device to device sync support for bringing contacts from your old device to N9 and for some devices also calendar can be synced. N9 supports Mail for Exchange, GMAILTM or any POP/ IMAP capable mail servers. With Mail for Exchange not only the email is synced, but you can also sync contacts and calendar for services like Outlook, Windows LiveTM and GMAILTM.
If you have previously synced your contacts e.g. from your old phone to Nokia online service, you can sync the contacts back to your Nokia N9 by using the Nokia account sync.
Calendar entries from your PC Outlook can be synchronised via a remote calendar service, e.g. via Windows LiveTM and GMAILTM (see separate FAQs for more details).
Starting from Nokia Suite version 3.5, you can use also Nokia Suite for syncing your contacts and calendar.
Nokia Link is a lightweight computer app with which you can move your music, photos, and videos easily between your Nokia N9 phone and a Windows or Mac computer.
You can also copy mobile content to your favourite applications on the computer, like Windows Media Player and iTunes.
And what is more, with Nokia Link you can quickly create a backup of your Nokia N9’s content, and later restore it if need be.

Nokia Link supports only USB connections. It’s much faster to copy files using a USB cable, and Nokia Link is designed to do just that – to move your media files quickly and easily between your phone and computer.
You can have both applications on your computer installed at the same time since they are independent programs. However, exit Nokia Suite from File > Exit before connecting N9 with Nokia Link.
On your computer, check if you’ve changed the place of your iTunes library. If the library isn’t in the default place anymore, Nokia Link won’t be able to get any info from it. The default place for the library is usually [local hard disk drive] > Users > [username] > My Music.
If you want to copy the music that you have in iTunes, but you don’t want to change the place of the iTunes library, then choose the folder that contains the music you want to copy instead of choosing iTunes from the programs list.
If you know the folder this photo application uses for storing photos, you can browse to that folder from Nokia Link. Then, you can copy your photos to that folder with Nokia Link. After the copying is finished, the photos are available in both, the photo application and your phone.
In this case you can create a playlist of the tracks you want to add to your phone, and then copy only the playlist.
Or, you can create a subfolder inside the computer's default music folder. Then, on your computer, you can move the desired tracks to that subfolder, and copy only this folder to your phone with Nokia Link.
If you have Nokia Link installed in more than one place on your Mac (that is, the space on the hard disk drive has been divided into different parts), and you try to open Nokia Link from more than one place during the same session, your phone can’t be connected to the computer. To fix this, please remove all installations of Nokia Link from your computer and install Nokia Link again to just one place. Then try connecting your phone again.
