Nokia 500 supports the following mail and messaging services:
- Mail for Exchange (for corporate mail).
- Internet based mail services via the Nokia Messaging service. Nokia Messaging is a Nokia-hosted service for accessing consumer mail, such as Yahoo! Mail, Gmail or Windows Live Hotmail).
- Direct POP/IMAP access.
All mailboxes can be set up and accessed in one location in Menu > Applications > Mail or via the mail widget on the home screen.
Chat is also available by separate download.
