Keys and parts

Learn about the keys and parts of your phone.

Front

With the front of the phone facing you, below the screen is, from left to right, the call key, the menu key, the combined end and power key. The wrist strap hole is on the bottom edge.

  • 1 — Menu key

  • 2 — Call key

  • 3 — End/Power key

  • 4 — Wrist strap hole

Top

With the front of the phone facing you, on the top edge is, from left to right, the Nokia AV connector, the micro-USB connector, and the charger connector.

  • 1 — Nokia AV connector (3.5 mm)

  • 2 — Micro-USB connector

    Used also to charge the battery.

  • 3 — Charger connector

Sides

With the front of the phone facing you, on the right edge are, from top to bottom, the combined volume and zoom keys and the key lock button.

  • 1 — Volume up/Zoom in key

  • 2 — Volume down/Zoom out key

  • 3 — Key lock button

Back

With the back of the phone facing you, at the top is, from left to right, the camera and the loudspeaker.

  • 1 — Camera

  • 2 — Loudspeaker

If there is protective tape on the camera lens, remove the tape.

Touch screen

To control your phone, lightly touch the screen with your fingertips. The screen does not respond when you use your fingernails.

If your fingertips are cold, the screen may not respond to your touch.

Important:

Avoid scratching the touch screen. Never use an actual pen, pencil, or other sharp object on the touch screen.
