To enter the search menu, select:
- Map > Search (Maps 3.06)
- Search (Maps 3.08 and later)
Enter the address or place in the search field or browse the points of interest around your location by selecting Categories tab.
The order of the search results is based on the distance to the current map position (nearest first). If searching for a remote place, use a more specific query, e.g. Airport, London, UK or move the map position to the desired area before doing the search.
Note that If Maps is in offline mode, it has more limited search database. For best search results, use Maps in online mode (Settings > Internet > Connection > Online in Maps 3.06 or Settings > General > Connection > Online in Maps 3.08 and later).
