Millions of people around the planet are now enjoying the wonderful stuff we created together. Much love to all contributors.
From 31 August 2007 to 11 June 2008, we piloted an application called Nokia Download! for PC here at Beta Labs. During the beta period, we learned that a browser based service would be more attractive solution than a dedicated PC client. Therefore, we have now introduced Nokia Download Store, a web shop for trying and buying content for your Nokia device. From Nokia Download Store you can find, preview and buy a wide variety of content, applications and services from a range of different providers.
You can access Nokia Download Store from www.download.nokia.com.
Location tagging means adding location information (metadata) to the photo you just took. When you upload these location tagged photos to a website, such as Share on Ovi, Flickr or Google Earth, you can choose to view them on a map. On January 2008, we started experimenting with location tagging by introducing a standalone application called Location Tagger here at Beta Labs. After a four month beta period, we can proudly announce location tagging as "graduated", as it has been fully integrated into latest Nokia devices such as Nokia N78.
Whether you’re exploring on foot or in the car, you can discover the best features of Nokia Maps with Nokia Maps 2.0. Drive and Walk navigation options, downloadable multimedia city guides, satellite views – all on top of great day-to-day features. We introduced the application as beta version 11 February 2008, attracting huge attention. Thousands of you sent us feedback, helping us to iron out the rough edges before releasing it commercially 22 May 2008.

Nokia Nseries PC Suite is a collection of advanced applications that seamlessly link your Nokia Nseries multimedia device and your PC. We launched the first beta version at Nokia Beta Labs on 5 September 2007. Due to an avalanche of feedback about technical maturity, however, we withdrew it temporarily for repairs. A significantly improved version was launched on November, and after a couple of updates, we finally declared it graduated on 12 March 2008.

After digesting your initial feedback, we released a new version on 5 January 2008, before declaring it officially graduated on 21 February 2008.

On 13 November 2007, Nokia formally announced that WidSets, our fancy new Internet service, graduated from beta to an officially supported service platform. WidSets works already on more than 300 mobile devices from a wide variety of manufacturers. In addition, Nokia plans to pre-install WidSets in tens of millions of mobile phones during 2008, and enable service support in tens of different languages.
The WidSets team was truly deligted with your active feedback during the beta trials, as it helped them to improve the service significantly for both users and content providers.
