Bridgeit was launched in the Philippines in May 2003 under the title "text2teach". It seeks to equip 5th and 6th grade teachers with educational resources, focusing on science, math, and English. The 480 teacher lesson plans which are offered through the program are supported by a library of more than 370 science, math, and English videos and integrated into daily classes. Within one year's time, the program demonstrated that academic performance had improved when compared to the study’s control group. The positive impact went beyond the classroom, as the project motivated school officials, parents, and community leaders.

Over the last two years, text2teach has benefited more than 122,000 5th and 6th grade students, and trained 920 teachers and 203 school heads.
