MobiLuck Closer to my friends is a social networking service that makes it easy to let your friends know where you are and for you to receive alerts when they are nearby. You can set up a personal profile that includes a photo and your interests, and chat with friends anytime for free, although the chat will be subject to mobile operator Internet and phone connection charges. You can also discover new people and make friends all over the world. At the heart of the service is a unique localization technology that helps you to easily update and share your location, and to find people and places that are nearby using the "radar." You can choose whether to share your location on a friend-by-friend basis, or to open up to a wider group of people. By default, your location is not shown to anyone except people you have designated. You can also chat with friends on Window Live Messenger and other instant messaging (IM) networks, but if you want to see where they are, too, they must also sign up for the free MobiLuck service.

The application is compatible with a wide variety of devices that are based on S60 2nd Edition or S60 3rd Edition, including all Nokia phones for those platforms, and it has received Symbian Signed certification for S60 3rd Edition devices. Its Bluetooth interface alerts you to all Bluetooth devices within 100 meters. This allows you to send both messages and photos to anyone nearby via Bluetooth wireless technology, and to hear an alert when you've received a Bluetooth message. This makes it possible for two people in a room to flirt with each other without anyone else noticing that they're interacting with each other.
