Sandisk V-Mate
If you're tired of missing your favorite TV shows or rarely have the time to watch TV recordings or movies at home, then the SanDisk V-Mate Video Memory Card Recorder can help. The easy-to-use memory card recorder captures video content from an analog source directly onto a multimedia card (MMC) flash memory card (or memory cards in other formats such as SD, miniSD or microSD). To play back video content you've recorded, simply insert the flash memory card into your S60 3rd Edition or Series 40 3rd Edition device. The V-Mate allows you take advantage of the video capabilities of your mobile device, and gives you the flexibility to watch whatever you want, whenever and wherever you want. The included infrared emitter allows V-Mate to automatically turn on your satellite or cable box and tune it to the right channel for recording. When the program is over, V-Mate will turn off your set-top box.
You can view your favorite TV shows or movies during your daily commute, catch those late-night TV shows that you usually miss, or watch the latest episode of your favorite reality show during your lunch break. Recording can be captured from any composite video source, so you can also digitize your home videos and share that video content with family and friends on the go. Typically, the V-Mate will record up to 3.5 hours of video per gigabyte of memory (320x240 resolution) from either National Television Standards Committee (NTSC) or Phase Alternating Line (PAL) format. It can store video in MP4, 3GP, or 3G2 formats. It is priced at $129.99 (about 89 euros). For more information and to purchase V-Mate, visit www.sandisk.com/vmate.
