SMobile Security Shield
SMobile Security Shield protects your S60 3rd Edition device from unwanted intrusion coming from any direction, including the Internet, short message service (SMS), multimedia messaging service (MMS), e-mail, and direct downloads. It has three different components to accomplish that mission: VirusGuard, to scan for malware, Point Guard, to provide call and message filtering, and the SMobile Firewall, to provide filtering and blocking on a wide variety of media

VirusGuard protects mobile devices against viruses and malware delivered via e-mail, SMS, MMS, direct download, Bluetooth, or infrared (IR) technology transmissions. Unlike some other mobile anti-virus software, SMobile's software and services do not negatively affect either device or network performance. VirusGuard secures mobile devices by scanning for malicious content on demand and on access. The on-access feature continuously monitors the device and scans all data received. The Point Guard module lets you choose to block incoming SMS, MMS, and/or voice calls from selected contacts and unknown users by establishing a customized blacklist. It allows you to import blacklist numbers from an existing list in your contacts, and it has a spam folder to detain unwanted messages. It also has a tracking log for all blocked calls and messages.

The SMobile Firewall offers a bidirectional, packet filtering option, protecting the mobile device from accessing harmful or questionable content and preventing malicious content from being transferred to the device. The firewall monitors cellular (general packet radio service [GPRS], EDGE, CDMA), WLAN and phone-to-PC traffic, blocking and allowing incoming and outgoing data packets and application rule-based filtering. It has network-level packet filtering, giving you full control of the alerts and logging functions, as well as filtering based on customizable whitelists and blacklists. SMobile Security Shield also supports Push updates over the air (OTA) or via SMS. It is available in 14 languages, including most European languages as well as traditional and simplified Chinese, for all S60 3rd Edition devices, and for S60 2nd Edition devices based on Feature Pack 1.
