IPP: Building environmental policy that works

And we took part in the European Union’s IPP (Integrated Product Policy) approach to environmental policies. The process sets an example for how voluntary measures can complement regulations. It looks at the lifecycle of a product and tries to reduce potential negative environmental impacts at each stage. The proposed voluntary IPP agreements include:

• Providing consumers with relevant, easy-to-understand environmental facts on products to assist them in making environmentally sound purchase decisions.
