The Best Phone ever.... full stop.
Simply Marvellous..What a phone ...I mean it has both Nokia's Wow factor..and Microsoft's best UI till date..and together it is indeed a deadly combination and a seriously heavy competition for Apple is finally out in the market.
Apple has been ruling the industry for a while now ever since they launched their first flagship phone in 2007. And being a gadget lover myself, I never parted from my iPhones ever since the first one I bought in first 2 weeks of the launch. I kept upgrading and have used their every model till date including the iPhone 4S that I pre-ordered. And I must say no Samsung, Blackberry, LG or HTC has come this close to the competition like Nokia has. Android is good and efficient but the style factor that Nokia brings is just amazing and like no other. I wasn't expecting much from the App store but I must say I am very surprised by the Microsoft's collection in there. It still has some way to go, as compared to Apple store but boy is it right on track to do so. I spend 2 weeks of testing before actually writing this review, and that when I already had my iPhone 4S, which I deliberately stopped using to see if this phone can actually replace it in my hand during daily use, and after being addicted to iPhone for years.
And other than the serious low battery issues, I can safely say that I have officially switched this with my iPhone now. Hoping the app store keeps growing and they resolve this battery issues soon. I read somewhere they are releasing some s/w updates soon that will improve battery. Hopefully that's true. Fingers Crossed xxx

Stylish all rounder
I was initially attracted by the design. This phone is BEAUTIFUL! Once you start using it though, you will realise that a lot of thought has been put into not only the design of the phone but the software too. They compliment each other perfectly. The screen is fantastic and very slick and smooth to the touch. The viewing angle is great, black is deep black even in bright sunlight, colours are bright and colourful and the touch interface is very responsive, quick and has great flow effects. I have actually found myself flicking the menus back and forth because the animations are so pretty and the responsiveness to touch is excellent.
My Lumia is blue, which instantly gets people's attention as it is fun and different to most 'professional' looking black and grey phones out there. Yesterday a girl at work told me 'that phone looks lush!' and I agree, it does! Even better, Nokia included a great case for the phone which is hardly noticable - it almost looks like there is no case on it as it is the same colour as the phone and is very discrete. Thanks Nokia!
Have also used Nokia Drive, Nokia's built in SatNav programme a few times now. It works really well and actually looks exactly like a normal SatNav if you turn the phone onto it's side (the screen goes from portrait to landscape mode automatically). This is one of the best features of the phone as if you have a car charger, you will actually never need to buy a SatNav. The phone also has a location based app called Local Scout. When you click on it, the phone detects your location and offers suggestions on where to go for food and drink, what to see and do etc. It is surprisingly accurate, and clicking on the suggestion brings up the address, phone number etc so you can click and the phone will automatically call the restaurant/bar/museum or navigate you to it.
My only issues are that it literally downloads ALL your contacts from your hotmail, facebook etc accounts onto the phone's people hub, but luckily you can edit that and group people so you can access the numbers you use the most easily straight from the homescreen. The camera is good but occasionally has difficulties focusing. I also occasionally miss having a background image for my menu, but the tiles on the home screen are colourful and animated so I'm not too bothered by it.
As a phone it works fantastically with great reception and great call quality. The on screen QWERTY keyboard is really easy to use so texting is easy. The phone even allows you to text people via MSN messenger then continue by SMS in the same screen.
Was also surprised to see how many great and useful apps there are as I was worried that there woudln't be many. My old phone was an HTC Desire and I would say that compared to Android market, there are less apps, but they are of better quality and are more beautifully designed. The apps included with the device like Nokia Music, Nokia Drive, Local Scout etc are really good.
I have not had problems with the battery, but I don't use my phone much when at work. So far have had phone last me 1.5 days on a single charge, but that is with battery saver mode turned on, wifi and data turned off for most of the time unless I am using it.
In summary: A beautiful, stylish phone which works well with colourful and vibrant operating system, great screen, and great free apps like Sat Nav and Nokia Music. Definitely recommended!

very happy migration from IPhone
After having all of the iPhones from the beginning, got fed up with the price of upgrades. Had trialled Mango on HTC7 which was ok but on the Lumia it's fantastic.
Very happy with the move, no looking back. Really like the Zune interface on PC. Beautiful build quality of phone.
Go on ... Go Mango on Lumia!!
PS. Battery needs to last a half day longer

Surprisingly Good!
I would like to say I'm thrilled with my new Nokia purchase. This phone simply rocks! The Lumia 800 is
1) Easy to Use
2) Looks very good!
3) Has everything I would want in a smartphone, including Apps / Music Store / Email, and all the functions I really need.
4) Phone functionality is a breeze to use, makes Android look for geeks.
If you truly want to set yourself apart from the usual common iPhone/Android zerg, you wont be disappointed with this phone! :) Loved it from the moment I turned it on!

I truely recommend this product and would say definatly thw best windows phone and with some improvements it could be the best smartphone
pros:
•This phone is great simple to use as it is using windows 7.5
•Great 8mp camera with Carl Zeis lens
also has a bright flash which is two less
•Nice big screen but fits to the edges of phone so the phone isn't that big
•Great touch screen with super fast reactions due to th 512mb ram
•bootload of internal memory(16gb)
•voice command available which is great to use and is good to have it as an option
•Great for socializing and connecting
•Fast browsing and great use of Bing
•Great vivid colours
Cons:
•Battery life isn't that great you can usually get about 10 hours if you use it alot which isn't very good for long days but perfect if you don't use your phone much
•While talking to the phone I witnessed that it didn't understand the more complecated words and rarely didn't understand the more common words but still a great feature
•Cant input anymore memory onto the phone, isn't really a big deal seen as though it has 16gb
Overall: 9.5/10
Id rate it a ten if speech and battery life was upgraded and external memory could be inputted

Best of both worlds
I was eagerly waiting for the partnership of Microsoft and Nokia to come up with a phone. I am not dissapointed. What a brilliant OS and beautiful phone. Nokia back on top again.

I'm an Engineer - and I've ditched Blackberry and iPhone4!
Nokia, you have come back with a punch for all of us. Over the last couple of months I would never have looked at Nokia. Now however, I couldn't say no to Nokia Lumina 800. It's OUTSTANDING. I love it more than my iPhone4, than my Blackberry Touch, and thats why I am selling them both today.
