Nokia invites you to put on your creative hat and come up with a cool app
Nokia launches a competition to “Design and Develop for People and Planet”. This application creation competition is initiated by Nokia and co-organized by Parsons the New School for Design in New York for mobile phone applications that do good for people and for the environment.
The competition is for Windows Phone platform and has two categories; Do Good and Open Data. In both categories the design of the application plays a key role. The competition is part of Nokia’s Helsinki World Design Capital initiatives.
The competition is open to teams who register prior August 13, 2012. After the registration closes there will be a pre-selection amongst the candidate teams.
The event will be arranged simultaneously in 2 locations, Helsinki, Finland and New York City, USA on September 5-6 and lasts for 25 hours.
There will be great prizes for category winners as well as a grand prize for an overall winner who will be prized with Aalto App Campus Award of 20.0000 euros if the application is a standalone app or 50.000 euros for an app using cloud.
