Using advanced floating lens technology, the PureView camera in the Nokia Lumia 920 takes in five times more light than competing smartphones without using flash, making it possible to capture the best pictures and videos even at night.

High quality in low light

We set ourselves the challenge to create the best low-light performance ever in a smartphone. We combined the latest generation of Back Side Illuminated (BSI) sensor, optics from Carl Zeiss and a high power short pulse dual LED flash to create bright, beautiful photos at night as well as indoors.

Optical Image Stabilisation

We modelled the complex nature of human handshake and optimized the new Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) system to provide the best possible stabilisation for when the phone is handheld. That means you get reduced blur in your pictures – both at night and when your hands are unsteady.
