Learn how to manage, back up and protect files on your device.
About File manager
Select Menu > Applications > Office > File mgr. .
With File manager, you can browse, manage, and open files on your device. You can also view and manage files on a compatible inserted memory card.

View the files stored on your device
Select Menu > Applications > Office > File mgr. and the desired memory.
The folders on the root of the memory are displayed.

Organise files
You can create new folders, to help organise your files. This can make it easier to back up or upload your content. Within folders, you can copy, move, or delete files and subfolders.
Select Menu > Applications > Office > File mgr. .
In the folder where you want to create a subfolder, select Options > New folder .
Select and hold the file, and from the pop-up menu, select the appropriate option.
Select and hold the file, and from the pop-up menu, select the appropriate option.
To copy, move, or delete several files at the same time, select Options > Mark multiple items .

Back up files
Select Menu > Applications > Office > File mgr. and Backup and restore.
It is recommended that you back up the device memory regularly to a compatible computer or memory card.
If you have DRM-protected content, use Nokia Ovi Suite to back up both the licences and the content to your computer.
Password protect your memory card
Want to protect the memory card against unauthorised use? You can set a password to protect the data.

Select Menu > Applications > Office > File mgr. .

Select and hold the memory card.

From the pop-up menu, select Set password, and enter a password.
Keep the password secret and in a safe place, separate from the memory card.
Format a memory card
Want to delete all content from your memory card? When you format a memory card, all the data on it is deleted.

Select Menu > Applications > Office > File mgr. .

Select and hold the memory card, and from the pop-up menu, select Format.
