With the Upload to SkyDrive app, you can transfer the following data:
Your contacts are uploaded to Windows Live People and your photos to SkyDrive Photos > SkyDrive camera roll.
Videos, some contact info fields, and calendar events are not uploaded to the SkyDrive cloud.

You need to have the appropriate sync software and the Zune PC app installed on your PC. To download and install the latest version on your PC, or to learn more about Zune, go to xbox.com/live/zune. You may need to restart your computer, and you may need to install additional software.
Depending on what you need to install, and how much data you are syncing, this may take a while.
Some file formats, such as 3gpp, may not be transferred. Some third-party converter applications may be available to convert the files to a format that can be transferred.

Transferring content with an Apple Mac
If you have an Apple Mac, you can use Windows Phone App (Mac OS) to sync your pictures and videos from your Mac to your new phone
Yes, Windows Phone 7.8 brings a new features including a Bluetooth file transfer. With Bluetooth Share app you can send and receive image and audio files between your devices. If you are not able to find Bluetooth Share from Nokia Collection in Windows Phone Store, use search to check if the app is available for you.

You can transfer your contacts, calendar entries, to-dos, pictures, videos, music and office documents to your Nokia Lumia with Windows Phone 7. Some content, such as text and multimedia messages, or DRM protected music, you can back up on your computer, and some data you cannot transfer to your Lumia phone.

Contacts
You can transfer your contacts from your old phone easily using the Contacts Transfer app. The Contacts Transfer is on the main applications menu on your phone. If you do not have this app, you can download it from Store (formerly Marketplace).

If you have previously had a micro-SIM or micro-RUIM card, you can also copy your contacts from your card to your phone.
Calendar
If your contacts and calendar are stored online as part of an online service, such as Google Account, Microsoft Exchange, set up that account on your phone and your contacts and calendar entries are imported automatically.

Media files

Office documents
You can use SkyDrive cloud storage to transfer the Office documents.
To use SkyDrive, you need a Microsoft Account (formerly Windows Live ID). If you do not have a Microsoft Account account, you can create one at live.com, or using your phone. For more information, see the user guide of your phone.
Other content on your old phone
You can use the appropriate software to store your text and multimedia messages, notes, browser bookmarks, and DRM protected music and videos and their licenses on your computer.
You cannot transfer settings from your old phone to your Lumia. For more information about configuring the settings in your phone, see the user guide of your phone.
Only the album art that is embedded in the music file is transferred from your PC to your mobile device.
If album art is missing in Nokia Music Player, it can be added on your PC manually in either of the following ways:
1) To add an image that is stored on your PC, right click on the album in your music library in Nokia Music Player and select Edit album details > Album artwork > Update album artwork > Change.
2) To update album art through Nokia Music service, right click the track or album name in Nokia Music Player and select Get album artwork.
If album art is missing in your mobile device and if there is no option to add/change it with music player, please, check that album art is available in Nokia Music Player. Then delete the track from the phone and import it from Nokia Music Player again. Now the mobile device should display album art. If the album art still does not show on the device, try step 1 (adding the art manually from PC).
The PC Suite applications for your Nokia phone are displayed on the right hand side of the main PC Suite window as icons —this area is known as the application bar. To use an application, click its icon. For information on using an application, see the online help.

You don’t need Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver to copy your photos or videos to your PC. Simply connect your phone to your computer with a compatible USB cable in Mass Storage mode, and you can transfer your photos and videos between your phone and PC.
Memory full messages may occur if there are too many applications running at the same time or if there is not enough free space in the phone memory. Depending on the error message, the following actions can be taken:
"Memory Full: Close some applications and try again"
In this case there are too many applications active at the same time. The problem can be fixed by closing some of the applications:
If this doesn't help, switch off and restart the phone.
"Memory Full: Delete or remove some data from C: Phone memory"
The phone notifies you if the phone memory or memory card memory is getting low. There can be different error messages shown this situation, e.g.:
To free phone memory, transfer some data to the memory card with the File mgr application (select Menu > Applications > File mgr.). Select or mark files to be moved, select Options > Organise > Move to folder and then the destination folder.
In order to free memory, you could also remove or move the following:
If possible, use the memory card instead of phone memory in the Camera application (select Options > Settings > Memory in use to define the memory where the images are stored). You can also use Nokia Suite to transfer images and video clips to your PC.
If you are deleting multiple items and any of the following notes are shown: Not enough memory to perform operation. Delete some data first or Memory low. Delete some data, try deleting items one by one (starting from the smallest item).
