Learn how to view your photos and videos on a TV.
Connect your phone to a TV using HDMI
You can use the HDMI adapter and a compatible HDMI cable (cable available separately) to connect your phone to a TV or compatible home theatre. Pictures and videos retain the original video and audio quality.

Connect the HDMI adapter to the HDMI connector of your phone.

Connect an HDMI cable to the adapter, and then to the HDMI connector of a TV. You may need to manually select the HDMI input on the TV.

If your TV supports HDMI, you can use the HDMI adapter and a compatible HDMI cable (cable available separately) to connect your phone to your HD TV.
View photos and videos on your HD TV
Use the HDMI adapter and a compatible HDMI cable to connect your phone to a TV.
If you don't see anything on the TV screen, check the TV is using the correct HDMI input.
Select the arrow icons on your phone screen. To select something, select the OK icon.
Select Videos or Photos, go to the photo or video, then select OK.
Select the back or forward arrow.
Select the up or down arrow.
When viewing a photo, select OK.
Select OK.

View photos and videos on your standard definition TV
You need to use a Nokia Video Connectivity Cable (available separately), and may need to change the TV-out settings and aspect ratio.
To change the TV-out settings, select
> Settings and Phone > Accessories > TV-Out .

Connect a Nokia Video Connectivity Cable to the video input of a compatible TV. The colour of the plugs must match the colour of the sockets.

Connect the other end of the Nokia Video Connectivity Cable to the Nokia AV connector of your phone. You may need to select TV-Out cable as the connection type.

Select the photo or video on your phone.
Do not connect products that create an output signal, as this may damage the device. Do not connect any voltage source to the Nokia AV connector. If you connect an external device or headset, other than those approved by Nokia for use with this device, to the Nokia AV connector, pay special attention to volume levels.

Use the HDMI adapter and a compatible HDMI cable (cable available separately) to connect your phone to your compatible home theatre.
The home theatre needs to support the HDMI 1.4 standard and be able to pass through video to your TV over HDMI.

Set the home theatre to use the respective HDMI input. For more info, see the user guide of your home theatre.
The phone turns into a remote control.

Select Videos, then select a video.
The maximum supported video resolution is 1080p, and your phone does not support files that are larger than 4 GB.
An MP4 or MKV video that has the following properties:

Video: AVC 1916kbps, 24fps, High Profile Level 3.1, 3 ref. frames

Audio: Dolby Digital Plus E-AC-3, 384kbps, 6 channels
