Nokia 808 PureView - Bluetooth

Learn how to connect wirelessly to compatible phones and devices and send items between them.

About Bluetooth

About Bluetooth

Select qtg-toolbar-menu.jpg > Settings > Connectivity > Bluetooth.

You can connect wirelessly to other compatible devices, such as phones, computers, headsets, and car kits.

You can use the connection to send items from your phone, copy files from your compatible PC, and print files with a compatible printer.

Since devices with Bluetooth wireless technology communicate using radio waves, they do not need to be in direct line-of-sight. However, they must be within 10 metres (33 feet) of each other, although the connection may be subject to interference from obstructions such as walls or from other electronic devices.

When your phone is locked, only connections to authorised devices are possible.

Tip: You can also manage your Bluetooth connections in the status menu. To open the status menu, swipe down from the notification area, then select Bluetooth. If Bluetooth is not displayed, select Bluetooth deactivated icon.

Tip: You can add a Bluetooth widget to the home screen. To quickly switch Bluetooth on or off, select the widget.

Operating the device in hidden mode is a safer way to avoid malicious software. Do not accept Bluetooth connection requests from sources you do not trust. You can also switch the Bluetooth function off when you are not using it.
