Troubleshooting for JBL PlayUp Portable Wireless Speaker for Nokia.

 If you cannot find or connect to another device using Bluetooth, check the following:

• Both devices have the Bluetooth turned on.
• The other device is not in Hidden mode, check this in Bluetooth application My phone's visibility.
• The distance between the two devices is not over 10 meters (33 feet) or there are no walls or other obstructions between the devices.
• You can try to turn off the Bluetooth in both devices and reconnect.
• Restart your device and retry.
• Make sure your device is running the latest software. For downloads and assistance, go to your local Nokia website's support page.
• Note: If the device you try to connect is made by other manufacturer, make sure it is compatible with your device in terms of Bluetooth standard. You may need to contact the manufacturer of that device for more assistance. To find out the Bluetooth version of your device, go to your local Nokia website, select the support page of your device and see the product technical specification.   

If the problem persists after the above actions, contact your local Nokia Care Point.

The version varies between Nokia device models. To find it out for your device, visit your local Nokia website's support page, select your device and find "Bluetooth" in the technical specifications. If you don't find your device or its specifications in your local Nokia website, check Nokia Developer website or the user guide of your device.

To ensure interoperability between other devices supporting Bluetooth technology, use Nokia approved enhancements. Check with the manufacturers of other devices to determine their compatibility with your device.

The speaker is inherently a mono speaker. You can pair and connect Nokia Play 360 to another speaker with Bluetooth for stereo sound, but that is not the case with the JBL PlayUp (MD-51). You do not have the ability to connect two JBL PlayUp speakers for a stereo sound.

With Bluetooth connectivity you can wirelessly connect to other compatible devices within a maximum range of 30 feet (10 meters), free of charge. Compatible devices may include mobile phones, computers, and enhancements such as headsets and car kits. You can use Bluetooth technology to send images, video clips, music and sound clips, and notes. You can also use Bluetooth to connect wirelessly to a compatible printer to print images with Image print.

Near Field Communication (NFC) allows for wireless, rapid pairing and connecting with other NFC-enabled devices, without having to enter passcodes and confirmations.  Some examples are: launch web content by touching an NFC tag with your phone, use convenient contactless payment or ticketing systems (depending on region), or touch your friend's NFC-enabled phone with your phone to copy a picture directly, or play a game optimised for NFC.

Yes. You can use the speaker with any device that supports Bluetooth v.2.1 + EDR, Handsfree Profile 1.5, Headset Profile 1.0, Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) and Audio/Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP). You can also use the speaker with devices without Bluetooth, if they support audio output connection with a standard 3.5 mm audio connector.

You can use JBL Playup as a loudspeaker for phone calls if connecting the speaker via audio cable to the phone.

The battery of your speaker delivers up to 10 hours of music playing time, depending on the volume level. Higher volume levels consume more power than lower volume levels.

Yes. You can also connect you device to the speaker with a standard 3.5 mm audio cable.
