Troubleshooting for HERE Maps 3.2

The name of the Maps application has changed from Nokia Maps to HERE Maps. If you have installed an update from Store lately, you can find your Maps application in the applications list under H.

No, but to sync your favourites with here.com, you need to be signed in to your Nokia account.

Walk navigation doesn't work when the speed exceeds 30 km/h. Also, walk navigation is optimised for walking - it doesn't take into account, for example, one-way streets. When you need instructions for driving, select car mode in route details and launch HERE Drive by selecting start navigation.

Start HERE Maps and select:

• Select Search icon and type your destination address in the search field. Alternatively, tap the Places icon to find the nearby places or select a place in your favourites.
  
• Tap your destination on the map.
  
• Select get directions.
  
• When the route is shown on the map, tap the down arrow or scroll down the page to view the route details.
  

 You can switch between the walking, public transport and driving route by tapping the corresponding icon in the route details. To launch HERE Drive for car navigation, select start navigation.

You can manage your favourites by tapping the favourites icon in the main menu of HERE Maps. My Places menu is opened showing your favourites and a collection of the places you have recently viewed.

To add a place in your favourites:

• Search for the place.
  
• Tap the place icon to view the place details.
  
• Tap the favourites icon in the place details.
  
• Change the name of the favourite, if needed.
  

To remove a place from your favourites:

• Tap the favourites icon in main menu to see your favourites.
  
• Tap the place to be removed.
  
• Tap the favourites icon in place details.
  

If enabled in Settings > Show favourites on map, you can see your favourites also on the map (marked by a yellow star).

The favourites are shown on the map with star icons. To see the address of a place, select the star icon.

To see a list of your favourites, along with info on how far they are from your current location, select the favourites icon on the toolbar.

If indoor map of the venue is available, you can view it by tapping the grey building icon. To select the floor in the building, tap the floor icon in the map view. To view the details of a place inside the building, tap the desired place in the indoor map.

To return back to the normal map view, tap the map area outside the building.

Note that an online connection is needed to view the venue maps.

You can plan a route between any locations in the following way:

• Select Options > Directions.
  
• Select the transport mode (walk, public transport or drive)
  
• Select From and search for the start location. Select the desired place on the map or choose from the search list.
  
• Select To and search for the destination location. Select the desired place on the map or choose from the search list.
• When the route is shown, tap the down arrow at the bottom right or scroll down to view the route details.
  

Alternatively, you can select the start and end points for the route on the map:

• Long press the starting point on the map and tap the place icon.
• Select directions from here.
• Select the transport mode (walk, public transport or drive).
• Tap the map at the top of the screen to enter the map view.
• Long press the end point on the map and tap the place icon.
• Select directions to here.

To rate a place:

• Tap the place you want to rate.
  
• Swipe to the left or right until reviews menu becomes visible.
  
• Select add a review.
• Select how many stars you want give for the place and write a short review. (A review of at least 20 characters is needed before you can upload the rating and review).
  
• Select upload.

Note that you need to be signed in with your Nokia account before you can rate and review a place.

If not already signed in, you can sign in to your Nokia account by selecting More > Sign in in the Maps main menu and entering your Nokia username and password.

You need to be signed in to your Nokia account if you want to synchronise your favourites with the here.com web service.
