SYMPTOMS
When you use ActiveSync to synchronize a Microsoft Windows Mobile-based mobile device to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, you receive the following error message:
0x85030027 -- The Exchange Server requires certificates to log on. Connect your device to your PC on the corporate network to obtain a certificate.

This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
| • | You have not enabled certificate-based authentication for Exchange ActiveSync. |
| • | The Ignore Client Certificates option under the Client certificates setting is not enabled in the Iisadmpwd virtual directory. |
RESOLUTION
To resolve this problem, configure the Client certificates setting in the Iisadmpwd virtual directory to Ignore client certificates. To do this, follow these steps:
Note This is the default configuration.
| 1. | Start Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager. |
| 2. | Expand Server_Name (local computer), expand Web Sites, and then expand Default Web Site. |
| 3. | Right-click Iisadmpwd, and then click Properties. |
| 4. | On the Directory Security tab, click Edit under Secure Communications. |
| 5. | Under Client certificates, click Ignore client certificates, and then click OK two times. |

Note For errors that state "We'll keep trying", the Find My Phone service will try for a 72-hour period. This is the typical length of time many mobile operators queue SMS messages in their system.
Things to Try
For the Find My Phone service to work, your phone needs a battery charge, a cellular data connection, and must be turned on. If you receive an error that occurs with the Find My Phone service, it might be caused by one or more of the reasons listed here. Check the following table to find the problem you're experiencing and then try one of the accompanying solutions.

You can reject a call with a message in the following way:
- Define the default message to be sent in Menu > Settings > Calling > Call > Message text.
- When a call comes in, tap Silence command in the lower right corner of the screen (or if your device is already in silent mode, go to next step).
- Tap the Message icon or the command Send msg. in the lower right corner.
- Modify the default text if needed.
- Send the message by tapping the send icon or by selecting Options > Send.
- Tap Reject or Decline command on the screen to reject the call.

Press and hold the key 1 until your device dials to your voice mailbox number or select Menu > Messaging > Voice mail (or Voice messages, or More > Voice messages) > Listen to voice mails (or Listen to voice msgs. or Listen to voice messages). For the first time use, enter your voice mailbox number which you get from your service provider.
Note: The voice mailbox is a network service, contact your service provider for subscription. If supported by the network, the voice mail icon (the icon on the key 1) will display on the device to indicate new voice mails.

This error typically occurs when the Microsoft account service isn't working, you use the wrong password or enter it incorrectly, or you use an unverified Microsoft account (formerly known as a Windows Live ID).

Verify your Microsoft account email address (formerly known as Windows Live ID)
When you create a Microsoft account, you have to confirm that you own the account. To complete this part of your registration, follow these steps:| 1. | From a web browser, go toVerify this email address. |
| 2. | Sign in to your Microsoft account. |
| 3. | Click the Send email button to send a verification email to the email address listed on that page. Follow the instructions in the message to verify your email address. |
| 4. | On your phone, go to Start, flick left to the App list, tap Settings , and then tap Email+accounts. |
| 5. | Tap Windows Live (which is also your Microsoft account) and re-enter your username and password information. |

Reset your phone if you changed or renamed your Microsoft account
If you changed or renamed your primary Microsoft account (for example, changing @hotmail.com to @outlook.com), you'll have to reset your phone in order to change the Microsoft account on your Windows Phone.
