Insert a memory card

Memory cards are available separately.

Use only compatible MicroSD and MicroSDHC cards approved by Nokia for use with this device. Incompatible cards may damage the card and the device and corrupt data stored on the card.

  1. Make sure the phone is switched off.

  2. Place your fingernail in the gap on the bottom edge of the back cover, then carefully lift and remove the cover.

  3. If the battery is in the phone, lift it out.

    When removing the battery, lift the side of the battery that is closer to the bottom edge of the phone.

  4. Slide the memory card holder to unlock it. Use your fingernail to lift the memory card holder.

    With the back of the phone facing you, the memory card holder is under the battery, on the left, below the SIM holder. Slide the holder towards the left edge of the phone. Lift the holder from the edge that is closer to the right edge of the phone.

  5. Make sure the contact area would face down, put the memory card into the holder and lower the holder.

    Memory cards are available separately. For Full HD (1080p) videos, a Class 6 memory card is recommended.

    When inserting the memory card, make sure the narrow side of the memory card goes in first and that the straight edge of the memory card is closer to the bottom edge of the phone.

  6. Slide the memory card holder to lock it.

    To lock the holder, slide it towards the right edge of the phone.

  7. Line up the battery contacts, push the battery in, then replace the back cover.

Remove the memory card

  1. Switch the phone off.

  2. Remove the back cover.

  3. If the battery is in the phone, lift it out.

  4. Open the memory card holder, then pull the card out.
