You should uninstall the UMU MS full application from the Nokia Belle device before upgrading to Nokia Belle Refresh or Nokia Belle FP2.

If you have upgraded via Nokia Suite, the UMU MS full application will reset phone when you launch it. We recommend uninstalling the application.

The UMU MS full application has been removed from Nokia Store. The problem in the application is under the investigation of a third party. The application should not be reinstalled until issues have been fixed by the third party.

In case you have downloaded and paid the UMU MS full application from Nokia Store, contact Nokia Care to receive a refund.

  3. Select your device and press OK,
  4. Select Nokia Belle and press OK,
  5. The applications you now see are compatible with Nokia Belle.

After installing Nokia Belle on my phone, my applications are gone. How can I get my applications back? - Nokia FAQ

To download applications again, please launch Nokia Store, look for the application you want either in the application catalogue or click My Stuff (on the lower right corner of display) > Download history > All downloads , then select the item and click the Download button.

The easiest way to download applications involves opening the Nokia Store website http://store.nokia.com with your PC web browser. When you have Nokia Suite running on your computer and your phone is connected to the computer with a USB cable, you can easily search and download free applications directly to your phone. Some applications might not be compatible with Nokia Belle yet, and therefore there will not be a working version available for you after the update. For your important applications, please visit Nokia Store before the update to see and check Nokia Belle compatible applications.

Note: The maximum amount of re-downloads is 10 times per app.

IBM has released IBM Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.3.1 delivering support for Nokia Symbian^3 devices (including Nokia E7-00). The new version not only supports our latest devices with Symbian Anna and Nokia Belle, but also delivers a few new important features like direct HTML viewing and support for enforced encryption policy.

Before you download and install Lotus Notes Traveler client, install Calendar update via SW Update or Nokia Suite.

IBM Lotus Notes Traveler can be download either via IBM Lotus Notes server or Nokia Store. To search on Nokia Store, use keyword IBM Lotus Notes Traveler.

The distribution is through IBM with the following steps:

  1. Upgrade the IBM Lotus Notes Traveler 8.5.3 server release.
  2. Within the server installation package there is also the new client for Symbian Anna and Nokia Belle.
  3. The client can be downloaded to Nokia Symbian^3 devices from the enterprise server.

To check if the Calendar update has been installed on your device go to Menu > Settings > Installations Already installed > OptionsView log and check an application named the organizersrc (10.03(7)).

You can download and install newer version of the Social Client version from Nokia Store on Nokia Symbian^3 devices. To find search Social Networking client on Nokia Store. Or check if Socal Client upgrade is available on your device software update (Menu > SW Update).

To check the version select Options > About on the Social client.

Note: Social client is pre-installed on the following Symbian^3 devices: Nokia N8-00, E7-00, E6-00, C7-00, C6-01, X7-00, 500, 603, 700 and 701.

What exactly am I updating with the device software update? - Nokia FAQ

Just like a computer, your Nokia phone uses software to run. By making sure you always have the latest version of this software, you get:
• performance improvements to things like battery life and applications
• new and improved functions
• the latest versions of Nokia apps and services
• bug fixes

A software update therefore improves the operating system of your phone. Additionally you can also update Nokia services on a regular basis (like Maps, Nokia Store, Social Client, etc.).

Will it affect my contacts or other phone data?

Updating using your phone’s software update application won’t affect contacts, photos or other information you’ve stored on your phone. However, if you update using Nokia Suite, you should back up your data before updating. Nokia Suite prompts you to do this before you start.

How does the update work?

It’s easy – just use your phone’s software update application or Nokia Suite to download the update, then restart your phone. The whole process should take less than ten minutes, depending on the speed of your connection.

You can use:

• a Wi-Fi network that your phone is connected to
• your phone’s cellular data connection
• your PC’s internet connection, using Nokia Suite

If you use your phone’s cellular data connection to update the software, you may have to pay data charges. It’s usually faster and cheaper to use a Wi-Fi network or your PC’s internet connection.
This update method works for updating both the operating system of your phone as well as native Nokia services like Maps, Nokia Store or Social Client. If you want to update third party applications you have downloaded via Nokia Store,  you need to use Nokia Store for this.

Note: Updating your device software will not affect your Nokia device's network lock (also known as SIM lock) status.
Note: Nokia device software cannot be downgraded. Once you have upgraded your device, you will not be able to restore it to the earlier version.
Note: Using your device or Nokia Suite to update software will not invalidate your warranty. Nokia’s standard warranty terms and conditions apply.
