To reset some of the settings to their original values, select (depending on your device):
- Menu > Tools > Settings > General > Factory settings
- Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone mgmt. > Factory settings
To do this, you need the lock code. The default lock code is 12345. After resetting, the device may take a longer time to power on. Documents and files are unaffected.
Note: If your Nokia device support encryption of the device memory or the memory card, make sure you decrypt them before you restore the factory setting or your data may be lost.
