Google has announced a Google Sync End of Life plan, and users of EAS (Exchange Active Sync) service for Gmail, Google Calendar and, Contacts are impacted by that announcement.
According to the announcement it is not possible to set up new Nokia Symbian devices to use Google Sync after January 30, 2013. However, Nokia Symbian devices previously registered as Google Sync devices have continued to function. You can check your existing registered Google Sync devices from your Google account settings.
Google IMAP accounts are not impacted by the Google Sync End of Life announcement.http://support.google.com/a/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2716936 .In order to restore your personal data under any circumstances, it is recommended to have an up to date backup of your data. Please use Nokia Suite for creating the backup.
