How do I pair my Nokia Bluetooth Stereo Headset with my compatible mobile phone? - Nokia FAQ

Average Rating

Do the following:

  1. Ensure that the headset is powered off and that the phone is on, and press the multifunction key of the headset until the blue indicator light starts to blink fast.
  2. Activate Bluetooth connectivity on the mobile device, and set it to search for Bluetooth devices.
  3. Once found, select the headset from the list of found devices and, if necessary, enter the Bluetooth passcode 0000 to pair and connect the headset to the mobile device. In some devices you may need to make the connection separately after pairing. If the pairing is successful, the headset’s blue indicator light starts flashing slowly, and the headset appears in the mobile device menu where you can view the paired Bluetooth devices.

Note: Some wireless headsets do not have indicator light and therefore the procedure can be a bit different. Detailed instructions are available in the user guide.

Note: Up to eight devices can be paired with the Nokia Bluetooth Headset. The last or most recent pairing is the active one. When all eight places are full, the oldest pairing is replaced by the new pairing.

  • Make sure that the Bluetooth feature is activated on the compatible phone.
  • Make sure that the headset is switched on and paired with the compatible phone.
  • Make sure that you have disconnected the previous Bluetooth connection from the phone.
  • Check that the headset is within 30 feet (10 meters) of the phone and that there are no obstructions, such as walls, or other electronic devices between the headset and the phone.
  • The pairing information list of the headset may be full. The headset can store the information of up to 8 phones at a time. If the list becomes full, reset the headset to the original settings (for detailed information on how to reset your headset, see the User Guide of the headset).

How to delete or rename a collection or route in Maps? - Nokia FAQ

Average Rating

In the Symbian^3 devices (e.g. Nokia N8-00, C6-01, C7-00) you can delete and rename a collection or route in the Favourites folder of Maps by long pressing the collection or route and selecting Delete or Rename.

In S60 5.0 devices with QWERTY keyboard (e.g. Nokia N97 mini) you can delete a collection or route by selecting it and pressing the backspace key on the keyboard.

If the deletion or renaming is not supported in your device or Maps version, it is possible to get the routes deleted or renamed by synchronising your favourites to maps.nokia.com, renaming or deleting the routes there and synchronising back to your device.

The deletion and renaming of the collections and routes is supported with Maps v3.06 and later.

How do I adjust the earpiece volume on my Nokia device? - Nokia FAQ

Average Rating

Most of Nokia devices have dedicated volume keys on the side of the device to allow you to change the earpiece volume during a call or sound playing. For the exact location of the volume keys on your specific device, please look at your device user guide "Keys and parts" section.

If your device does not have these keys, you can use the scroll keys, for example, scrolling to the left (or down) decreases the volume and scrolling to the right (or up) increases the volume. When you adjust the volume, a volume bar appears on the display indicating the volume level.

Note: The volume keys only control the speaking and hearing volume during a call, not the ringing volume. The same instructions apply for adjusting the volume when using the loudspeaker or a headset on your device.
