Yes, the maps application can be updated over the air whenever a new version is available. Users can check if an updated version is available by clicking on the top left menu on the main maps screen. Maps will automatically also do a check for an updated version of the maps application every 60 days.
The user can do a My Position request after planning a route at any time. This will show the user’s current position relative to the route that was planned.
Insert a new memory card into your phone and use the Nokia Suite PC app to copy map data content to the new memory card. Without a memory card, Nokia Maps for S40 can be used in online mode (data traffic costs may apply).
Cell-id based positioning is not as accurate as GPS positioning. However, it involves very little data transfer (approx 2-7kB) and returns results quickly irrespective of whether the user is indoors or outdoors.

Connect your device with memory card to a PC or Mac with Nokia Suite installed. Click on the maps section in Nokia suite and select the maps that you would like to delete. Keep the maps of the region you would still like to use.
It could be one of the following reasons:
a) You did not have sufficient balance to send the data request
b) You do not have an active data plan
c) Your phone did not connect with the data network due to network coverage issues
d) Nokia does not have information to get your position
Nokia collects non-personal and statistical information about the features uses on Maps and sends this out once a month. This is intended solely to help improve the service, and DOES NOT contain any personal information about you or your location. All information is anonymous, and is used for analysis on an aggregate basis.
In case you do not want to share information to help us improve Maps, you can click Settings > Participation and turn this OFF.
