Troubleshooting for Nokia products

You may have predictive text input (also known as T9 dictionary) on in your device. Predictive text input helps you to insert the messages more quickly than using traditional text input. When using the predictive text input, press each key once for a single letter.

To switch off the predictive text input, select Menu > Messages > Create message, the message editor is opened, then select Options > Dictionary > Off or Dictionary off.

 To switch on or off the predictive text input, you can also press and hold #.

Yes. Nokia Maps currently supports over 30 languages. Select My Preferences at the top right of the screen, and select your desired language from the drop-down list. Select Save Changes to save your preferences.

Sometimes shops may close or restaurants move. If you come across incorrect or missing data, report it to Nokia. If appropriate, the place information is updated for you and other users. You can even propose to add additional details like contact data or the website address of a place to make the place information richer and more complete for everyone.

• With a web browser, go to here.net and search for the place.
• In the information box of the place, select More details and Report this place, and follow the prompts on your screen to report what is wrong.

This is a known issue. The built-in Nokia E72 browser doesn't display Java Objects (for example Banners) correctly, instead the browser exits.

You can avoid the problem by disabling JavaScript in the browser settings. Simply perform the following steps:

Open the browser and select Options > Settings > General  > Java/ECMA script > Disabled.

If there are no records in a selected subfolder, then that folder name will not appear on the device even if the folder has been selected in Mail Folders to Sync in www.email.nokia.com.

If your device was delivered with an included navigation and/or Traffic & Safety licence but you have not activated them, the licence is displayed as pending. The licence is activated when you start navigating.

Note that there's no licence needed with Maps versions 3.03 and later.

If your contacts are written in a language that is not supported by your Lumia, the contact information may not be displayed correctly.

One or several of your selected database files are wrong or missing. Check the database file names and locations:
1) Open Lotus Notes.
2) Go to the Workspace that contains the icons for your address book and calendar.
3) Right-click the shortcuts for your address book and calendar, and select Database -> Properties from the pop-up menu.
4) The Database window shows the server and filename. Select the same server and filename in the Nokia PC Sync settings.

When the phone date and time is in the past, the time shown is calculated between the message time and the actual time.
