Edward Kershaw is Director of Mobile Media Experiences, within Nokia's Mobile Phones Business Group. In this role, he leads Nokia's activities in creating a consumer-focused and high quality music, video, mobile TV experience for mass market consumers.He joined Nokia in 1996 from Vodafone, where for five years he was global Head of Music. During this time, Vodafone's mobile music services grew from monophonic ringtones, through to polyphonics, realtones, mobile video and full-track music downloads. He was also responsible for negotiating commercial agreements with the major record labels, and other key players in the global entertainment market.
Prior to this, Edward worked in the record industry, holding A&R, label management and marketing roles within the international divisions of Virgin Records and Universal Music Group, and was CEO of the innovative online music downloads company Floot.com.
