Your privacy in Nokia Music
Nokia’s privacy policy explains how we process your personal data when you use our products and services. In addition, the following information applies to your use of Nokia Music (the "Service").
What information do we collect?
We collect the following categories of information:
Contact details
When you register to the Service, your contact details such as email address and/or mobile phone number along with your user name and password are collected.
Technical information
When you use the Service, certain technical information such as the type of your mobile device, unique device or network service provider identifiers, Internet protocol address, time zone, technical details of your client, language and country, details relating to your launch of the application and number and types of compatible mobile devices you have connected or defined may be automatically collected by Nokia.
Credit or debit card details and other financial information
If you choose to make a purchase via credit or debit card, you must provide Nokia with your card details. Card details are not associated to your Nokia account unless you so choose, in which case the card details are stored by a reputable payment provider and tied to your Nokia account and can be used for further transactions with the same Nokia account. The Service may allow you to add credit to your account.
Your transactions
We record your transactions with us, for example your registration to the Service and your purchase and download activities conducted within the Service. For example, we record the product you downloaded, the date and time of your download, information on which content area a track was purchased and the number of streaming or preview tracks you listened to, the payment amount and payment method (if applicable), and your receipt email address (if available). We also record any comments, ratings or reviews that you provided for any content.
Statistical information about Service usage
When you connect to the Service online with your PC, we may collect information such as the size of your music collection, your preferences, tracks downloaded from the Service, information about the tracks you play on your PC, the number of instances of ripping or burning tracks with the Service and the number of syncs and transfers of audio content between your devices and PCs, the recommendations and clicks on those recommendations that were displayed. These log files are encoded so that they are not human readable and we use non-personal random unique identifiers that are not associated with any personally identifiable information.
How we use the information we have collected?
As explained in more detail in our privacy policy, the information collected by the Service is utilised to provide you with the Service, to develop our products and services as well as to communicate with you and to make recommendations.
This includes activities such as determining the compatibility of and applicable content for your mobile device, managing applicable licenses, enabling you to download and re-install the same content to the same handset, in case you happened to delete or uninstall content, which you previously bought or downloaded and rendering content specifically tailored for your network operator, showing you your download history and verifying your identity and processing payments.
Non-personal use of statistical information
We do not associate collected statistical information with personally identifiable information, such as a Nokia account, unless you have asked us to do so. This information is used for service development and reporting purposes. We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent associating your usage statistics with personally identifiable information without your permission.
Your choices
In addition to the choices defined in Nokia’s privacy policy, you can disable the collection of statistical information for Service improvement purpose through your PC client settings (options menu, general settings). In such case no usage statistic will be collected. However, your transactions and other information listed in this document will continue to be recorded.

where there is a legal requirement to do so.
These authorised third parties are not permitted to use your personal data for any other purposes. We require them to act consistently with our privacy policy and to use appropriate security measures to protect your personal data.
